Teacher Certification Scholarship

The purpose of this fund is to provide teacher education majors ready to apply for teacher licensure with financial assistance to offset the required teacher licensure fees. Recommendation and selection for the non-renewable scholarships will be made by the Fort Hays State University (FHSU) Department of Teacher Education Scholarship Committee. In all other respects, these funds will be awarded without restriction to race, gender, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation or disability. There will be three levels of financial assistance awarded: Level 1 – Gold; Level 2 – Silver; and Level 3 – Bronze.

Level 1 – Gold: The recipient of this scholarship will be a student teacher in the Department of Teacher Education program who is ready to apply for teacher licensure with a GPA of 3.76 to 4.00 on a 4.00 scale from the College of Education at FHSU.

Level 2 – Silver: The recipient of this scholarship will be a student teacher in the Department of Teacher Education program who is ready to apply for teacher licensure with a GPA of 3.26 to 3.75 on a 4.00 scale from the College of Education at FHSU.

Level 3 – Bronze: The recipient of this scholarship will be a student teacher in the Department of Teacher Education program who is ready to apply for teacher licensure with a GPA of 2.75 to 3.25 on a 4.00 scale from the College of Education at FHSU.
